Indications:
This medicine is indicated in the treatment of poisoning by certain insecticides (called organophosphate anticholinesterases).
Precautions for use
The administration of milk or fat should be avoided in case of poisoning by organophosphate anticholinesterase insecticides.
The treatment is even more effective if administered shortly after poisoning. There is little effect if the interval between the poisoning and the start of treatment is greater than 36 hours.
Dosage and route of administration
Posology
The dosage is established by your doctor. Intravenous route in case of emergency. Intramuscular subcutaneous route, or oral route, if the poisoning to be treated is not an emergency.
The solution must be prepared extemporaneously by introducing 10 ml of solvent in the vial of powder.
In adults :
Intravenous route (either without dilution in a 1 ml/min slow injection or by infusion after dilution of the solution in glucose or isotonic sodium chloride solution), intramuscular subcutaneous route:
In renal failure :
Doses must be reduced in patients with impaired renal function.
